It's been a few weeks since I've done a tradition outfit post, and it feels really good to be back in the swing! I got pretty zealous about those videos for a while, but I don't want the blog to become all about video. I do have another video post scheduled for Friday, and they're definitely going to be a regular feature, but I really want my blog content to be a balance of things, and outfit posts have always been the bread and butter.
So, on to this outfit: this is one of my primary summer uniforms. Something about the combination of a maxi skirt and a wide brimmed hat feels very glamorous to me in that casual way that summer demands. I'll either wear this hat of my straw one (which you can see in my hat collection post here) and this striped maxi skirt, now that I've gotten ride of all the ones that aren't favorites. (More info on how I recently reduced my wardrobe by more than half using the KonMari method in this post).
This is the last day of my 30x30 capsule wardrobe challenge (more here). I'll post a video recap/review soon as well as a video showcasing all kinds of capsule wardrobe outfits (like these), so make sure to keep a look out for those. Have you ever experimented with a capsule wardrobe or another type of wardrobe challenge? How did it go?
